We had been on Oahu for a few days and I kept on talking to myself like a madman, saying over and over "this is paradise!" After seeing many impressive scenes one day we went for a drive into the countryside stopping next to a plantation with the backdrop of sky and mountain. I got out of the car and took in the vista, the heat and colors of the day seemed to permiate me and I felt at one with the island.
